Last week I was lucky enough to jump onboard one of Royal Caribbean’s babies – Voyager of the Seas. I spent 10 nights sailing the South Pacific for a mini travel show with Channel 7 where I got to experience all that was on offer onboard the ship, which happens to be 3 football field lengths long. This was my first time on a cruise ship and admittedly I was hesitant about the experience at first. Activities on my to-do list included rock climbing, surfing, duty free shopping, watching a comedy show in the theatre, dining at specialty restaurants plus the 3 storey dining room and soaking up the sun on some of the 15 decks.

I was impressed at the size of my room which included a balcony and the space available around the ship. In my downtime I paid a visit to the spa onboard where I met some very friendly staff and highly recommend the 75 minute deep tissue massage. All experiences were very cool knowing I was cruising across some of the best parts of the world at the same time, but the highlight was getting an invitation to the Captain’s bridge. I sat in the drivers seat and got to honk the horn, twice!

For the full story and to see what adventures we got up to, keep an eye on Channel 7 in March!
