I had the pleasure of attending an intimate lunch with the director of Calvin Klein, Kevin Carrigan, recently in Sydney. We ate at Bennelong restaurant within the iconic Sydney Opera House. Peter Gilmore served up an esquisite meal for guests – I enjoyed veal with a roasted carrot salad.

I had the amazing Erin Shaw do my hair and makeup for the luncheon. I wanted a clean, sleek pony with a fresh, bronzed and glowing makeup look. Erin gave me his 10 steps to achieving my look for you!:

1. Apply skin primer, concentrating on t-zone area and allow to set for 2 mins (we used Colour Theory). Always start with freshly cleansed and moisturised skin (allow 20mins for skin to settle before applying makeup).
2. Blend foundation from t-zone out with foundation brush. I used Armani Luminous Silk liquid foundation.
3. apply loose powder pigment in a reflective beige/gold onto eyelid area and blend out into crease of eye.
4. using a small fluff brush apply an earthy mid brown into crease to create a contour into natural shape of eye and blend out.
5. using same colour then create a soft smokey line under bottom lashes for a soft sultry mood.
6. Use a blush brush and bronzer to create a contour under cheek bones (we used MAC mineral bronzer plus Colour Theory duo highlighter/ bronzer).
7. to add warmth to the look use a soft dusky pink blush to the apples of the cheeks.
8. curl lashes and coat with black mascara on top and bottom , on bottom lashes use a firm flat brush to avoid clumping. Apply single knot free lashes in med size using black lash glue.
9. On brows use a small angled flat firm brush and feather in a matt tone powder to fill brows in a half shade lighter than the natural shade .
10. Lips, use a light caramel shade lip gloss to finish.

1. prep hair with Haute hot Iron spray
2. create a perfect centre part with a tail comb to crown of head.
3. using a hot flat iron work through hair in 1 inch sections till very smooth.
4. using brush pull hair back and smooth into a very low pony tail from either side of the parting to keep clean into the nape of the neck and secure with a snag free black hair elastic.
5. finish with a gloss spray and a little hair spray to set and shine.
