A great combination of innovative shows, entertaining choreography, cool music, friendly catchups and dress-ups. I LOVE going to morning shows. I’m naturally a morning person and my body is most productive in the first half of the day so getting out of the house early is best to make the most of the experience. There’s also something really cosy about turning up to a fashion show at 9am and being offered a warm, creamy cappuccino to watch the show with. It’s amazing to think how far in advance designers work to create their collections. We saw Spring/Summer ’15 which was incredibly refreshing. Lots of soft georgette and silk fabrics were being used by designers and black + white seemed to be quite popular. Haryono Setiadi’s collection was inspired by Australia’s coastal landscape & a European architectural movement so we saw a combination of fluidity and structure complimented with vibrant hues of aqua, ocean blue, lime and colours of the sunset. I think the biggest trend to take from the week was layering. However, whenever, whatever. I think Michael Lo Sordo demonstrated this the best in a very feminine, chic way. Lots of high heels but my feet survived!
